This log serves as a brief catch-up of my trading journey to the current day.
In November of 2024, Crypto x AI season went into full swing. A small test trade of $260 turned into an excess of $20K within days.

I've been in crypto since 2016 (earlier but broke student can't mine bitcoin). But the confluence of crypto and AI which leaned heavily towards SaaS startup products and mindset heavily favored my perspectives resulting in hard and fast profits. Starting from a 1.2 sol punt I turned it into an all time high of over $600k in January of 2025.

Crypto is deliciously volatile, and I've been a paper millionaire overnight a number of times. But crypto is also fickle, and while I had calculated to de-risk at the right time against the overall season, *how* I de-risked was too naive. I ended up eating a hefty drawdown that took my portfolio below $200k.
In spite of the drawdown, I had already taken a healthy amount of crypto winnings into real life fiat. Even putting some of them back into crypto when [[$SOL]] dropped from $220 to $120 during the ongoing Trump tariff season which is still ongoing as of April 2025.
My best guess is the Crypto x AI high of 2024 may never come back in quite the same fashion. It just wasn't sustainable and I've always been vocal that I felt that my way of picking tickers will eventually become obsolete, and for a few months it had. I was trying to fit myself into a culture of degenerate gambling that wasn't me.
The plan was always to use crypto micro-caps as a way to scale fast into the relative safety of major-caps, whilst still being on the hunt for hidden gems. I think I've carved a way pathway towards that goal.
I am on my way to becoming a decentralized capitalist, aka a "decap".
